'Marsh Island Beach' Marsh Island is a delightful privately owned island just east of Loud's Island. It is where we met Harriet Harvey; a very interesting lady who is part owner of Marsh Island. She would rather rough-it for the summer than have modern day luxuries. Harriet loves Marsh Island and has shared the island and her experiences with us for several years now. She has several places that she rents to those who would love a taste of the real quiet beauty of Muscongus Bay. Harriet, writer, professor, world-traveler, is a very interesting lady and has many wonderful stories about Marsh Island. Our friend Harriet passed away this past February 2007. We will never forget our times with her on Marsh Island and all the stories she shared with us. We will miss you Harriet and hold fond memories in our hearts for you.
