'Black Oak' This painting is one of few paintings that Mark did that is not of the Maine coast. 'Black Oak' is an oil on board and was inspired by just the warm feeling of the day near where Mark grew up in Rhode Island. The shade of the straight oak, the falling stonewall, broken fence, and the open field reminds most of us of a time and place in the past. |
