A new vertical lighthouse scene with active seagulls and a veil of
fog further off created an appealing from-water-to-land composition for Mark
to develop and complete during the cold nights here in Maine.
A beautiful swamp in winter? Yes indeed, and it's not about ice,
snow, or cold, but colors that inspire.
His latest piece, being worked on is a wonderful perspective of a wooden path
leading down to the water's edge...a place most people would love to explore....
A commissioned work almost done! A couple we met this past summer commissioned Mark to do a painting of this view. They suffered great loss from hurricane Sandy and they love this area. They wanted a little bit of 'peace' to take back to NJ with them. Mark wanted to give them the best of his idea of their vision of the place where they spend quiet times a few weeks out of the year.
